At Lagniappe Catering,
we
pride ourselves on offering the finest in-flight
catering services in the Omaha, Nebraska and surrounding
areas.
The word “Lagniappe” is defined by Dictionary.com as “Chiefly Southern Louisiana and Southeast Texas, a small gift given with a purchase to a customer, by way of compliment or for good measure; bonus; an unexpected or indirect benefit.”
There was no doubt in my mind when five years ago, my new husband (a Midwesterner) and I (a Louisiana Cajun transplant) began sifting through possible names for our in-flight catering business. Jim said, “Lagniappe, a little something extra” …….and I thought perfect!

But will anyone know how to pronounce it (Lon-Yop) or better yet, will anyone know what it means? Over the years, we’ve never tired of helping our customers pronounce the name, nor grew weary explaining the meaning behind the word. The most important thing, is that we always deliver “a little something extra”. Lagniappe, is not only a unique name, it’s meaning is the bedrock on which our company is based on.
Our food reflects my Dad’s Italian heritage and my Mom’s Cajun background, mixed in with my husband’s Midwestern spirit. We strive daily to provide the freshest, tastiest, most appealing food every day.

Our location was specifically chosen so that we could accommodate your requests in a timely manner, thus delivering the freshest food possible.
